Samvær Under Tilsüns augmenterte bordtennis-system lyder navnet Pling Pong og går ut på at publikum spiller bordtennis med spesiallagede bordtennisracketer i utradisjonelle fasonger. Samtlige racketer er utstyrt med trådløse sensorer som sørger for at et rikt og variert utvalg lyder spilles av samtidig som deltakerne treffer ballen. Lydene genereres i en modulær synthesizer som også frembringer et sonisk bakteppe med samples fra japanske tegnefilmer, egenprodusert tekno og mye annet. Øyvind er kommentator av spillet og overdommeren som holder oversikt over poengene mens Einar styrer synthen og sørger for at lydbildets intensitet følger spillets dynamikk og krumspring.

Pling Pong

Samvær Under Tilsün is a conglomerate of improvised hardware freeform techno, augmented table tennis with life™ as stake, Det Elektriske Korps, machine embroidery, lefser, tea, a spinning sound system in an undulating combination and other low-threshold offers. Samvær under Tilsün’s augmented table tennis system is named Pling Pong and it involves the public playing table tennis with specially made table tennis rackets in non-traditional shapes. All rackets are equipped with wireless sensors that ensure that a rich and varied selection of sounds are played at the same time as the participants hit the ball. The sounds are generated in a modular synthesizer which also produces a sonic backdrop with samples from Japanese cartoons, self-produced techno and much more. Øyvind is the commentator of the game and the chief referee who keeps track of the points while Einar controls the synth and ensures that the intensity of the sound image follows the dynamics and antics of the game.
